The Best School Trip

The best school trip for me was going to the Rock House. We went for half a day. There were loads of different walls. Some even had games like twister. For an easy start there was a small cave that you don’t need harnesses to climb. An easy start you need a harnesses to climb is to the side as you first walk in. A challenging wall is the chimney it goes out than in than out than in. It is one of the best walls there. Some walls are almost impossible to climb because they are flat rocks with no hand holes. Now that’s a challenge. In the cave  there were some lovely shades of green for the paint But on the outside and for every other wall there is many lush shades of blue .One wall was a strong but faded shade of orange . Some walls even went bang across the roof someone showed us an example. When he came down he almost landed on some of the girls there .We learned that when you’re rock climbing you can use a special powder that helps your hands hold on to the wall. For my favourite wall it was definitely the chimney. That  was the best trip ever!

The Rock House

When I get to the rock house it makes my dream come true. The leaders are kind and lots of fun to be around. They makes us safe and more. These are the rules. Firstly we put our harness on to keep us safe. Secondly we put the rope on to our harness. The rules say no food and no drinks. Lastly we ask the parent who with so we says are you ready. When the parents say we are ready then we can go for it.  The rock house is so cool that it’s better then Rainbows End.

It helps with your fitness , and your muscles.  When we are climbing our muscles get sore and your hands do a bit aswell, but it feels really good to have done something active.  It also feels good if you are a bit afraid of heights because you get to face your fear.  And it is also good to do Rock Climbing with friends so that you can encourage them when it is their turn.

When I last went Rock climbing my Dad came and he belayed for me and my friends, and my Dad loved doing that as much as me.  Thanks Mt Rock Climbing for giving our class a fantastic opportunity to do something really cool.
